Chicago Marathon Training Week 8

Week 8 happened. It included a sick day from work, visiting family, and of course… running.

Slow and sluggish midday run. Started at 12:30, finished at 4:00. This was such a challenge and I am not a fan of afternoon running, but some days it just has to happen this way. And it has to happen AGAIN this weekend! We are heading out to a cabin for the weekend, and I’m looking forward to unwinding a bit. I will get my run done when we get home, should be a good time!

Chicago Marathon Training Week 7

How has it already been SEVEN weeks of training? This week was particularly busy and it has caught up to me. I’ve spent that past few days with a headache and that annoying allergy-type sore throat. I ended up taking the day off work yesterday and skipping this morning’s work out, I just don’t feel like myself. Hopefully it doesn’t last!

Plus Goat Yoga!! Had to cut my run short in order to make it to yoga on time. It was also STEAMY hot, so pace was slower than usual.
