Capital City Half Marathon Training (x2): Week 3

Monday = 3.3 miles on the elliptical over dinner break.
Tuesday = This was supposed to be the first day of the CARA Six Leaf Clover Runs, but we got a snow storm and they had to cancel.  I was scheduled for 4 miles, but work got cancelled too, so I got in 3.7 on the treadmill.
Wednesday = CRAP day.  I was on a train that got stuck, I walked pretty far to work in the snow, I was late, and I was supposed to go to Chick’s Night at Fleet Feet.  My train headed there was also late and I had a mini meltdown then went for sushi.
Weigh In Wednesday – -1.8.  Being sick brought me right to exactly my goal weight.
Thursday = Lunch time treadmill run.  I got in 2.8 miles, not too bad.
Friday = Day off DOR.
Saturday = Back to my group!  Even one week off is too much, so it was good to get back out there today.  6 miles, a little slow, but felt good.
Sunday = Wacky 5k!  32:10 finish, jugglers, a girl on stilts, and an icy finish line.  Had a PT from Accelerated Physical Therapy stretch me out afterwards, and I was SORE the rest of the day.  Short-ish recap to come!

I didn’t make it to the Six Leaf Clover run because it got cancelled!  Hopefully this week’s run is still on, but we are getting hit with more snow.  Chicks night just NEEDS to happen.  I need to make it happen…  Also, more core work with March Abs Madness!

      Glad you like the calendar! I am always lacking in core strength, so I thought this would be a good way to build up gradually. Happy running!

    I heard Chi-town is getting a foot of snow today or tomorrow. Stay safe!
