Capital City Half Marathon Training: Week 6

Monday = 3.6 miles on the treadmill.  Had a really long day at work, but was able get away to the gym and did a new interval workout. Nothing too exciting, but the interval was good. I created my own workout as adjusted from Dashing Dish.
Tuesday = DOR. And I rested. And then drank WAY too much wine. But I was at Mortified: Chicago listening to people read from their high school diaries, so that was fun!

Wednesday = Chicks Night. YAY! I did 4 miles with the group, then we did some “roll-ates.” We used the foam roller and learned a lot of great stretches. It was really nice, and a good night! Really glad I went.
Weigh In Wednesday 3.20.12: -0.2. Moving slowly but surely!
Thursday = 25 minutes on the elliptical before the midnight showing of The Hunger Games!!! But I had a mega headache. BOO!!! 😦 This headache became a big pain in the bum all weekend.
Friday = After the midnight movie, and very little sleep, Friday was a rough day. Ended up walking about 3.5 miles to the Shamrock Shuffle Expo. It was a lot of fun seeing so many fit and motivated Chicagoans out and about today.
Saturday = 6 miles. Was another great group run. We were scheduled for 8 but with the Shuffle, I asked if anyone wanted to do less. Ended up turning back with Sue, Andrea and Shannon, another girl in the group. We were all planning on meeting up at the CARA room at the Congress Hotel for the race.
Sunday = 5 miles @ Shamrock Shuffle. Race Recap to follow. Preface… not my best.
